Kinderwoud BSO de Treffer

BSO de Treffer is part of Kinderwoud and is located in the beautiful multifunctional IKC de Treffer at H. Ringenoldusstrjitte 1 in Gorredijk. Together with OBS De Treffer, we share a building where learning and movement are central. The large spaces offer our children plenty of room to move and the opportunity to alternate activities with quiet moments. Our outdoor area is a natural playground where children can romp and explore to their heart's content. We welcome all children aged 4 to 13 in our before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO). VSO starts early, from 7:30 AM, so parents can go to work with peace of mind. After school, our NSO is ready until 6:00 PM. During school holidays, we offer vacation BSO, where children can spend the whole day with us for a varied program. On Wednesdays, after-school care is provided at our Loevestein location in Gorredijk. With us, children have the space to choose: participate in a fun activity or simply play freely with friends. We work with themes and offer activities that match the interests and talents of the children. Think of sports and games, creative outbursts, and nature experiences. In between, there is time for a joint cracker moment with drinks, where we sit together calmly and review the day. Our pedagogical staff pick up the children after school, on foot or by bike. For older children who are allowed to come to BSO independently, this is of course possible after written permission from the parents. We find it important that children feel safe and secure with us. That is why we work with a fixed base group and have an eye for every child. Parents can easily request extra care or swap days via the parent portal or the Parent App. We speak both Dutch and Frisian with the children. In this way, we playfully stimulate multilingualism, which not only promotes language development but also social and intellectual skills. We work together with SFBO (Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opfang) to shape this well. Feel free to drop by to get acquainted and experience the atmosphere!
