BSO Twinkle in Lelystad is a small-scale before- and after-school care facility for children from 4 years old up to and including those in the final year of primary school. We are located on the ground floor at Punter 44-2 in Lelystad, where one BSO group with permanent staff welcomes the children every afternoon. Our room is shared with the toddler group, but as soon as the school bell rings the space belongs entirely to the BSO children. The adjoining, fenced garden gives the children plenty of room to run and play outside. We deliberately work with one mixed-age group so that children learn from and with each other. The youngest ones receive support from the older children, while the older ones take pride in explaining or helping. Every day we offer an activity, but the child decides whether to join in. Not in the mood for today’s craft club? Then we read a book together, build a den or play a game. During before-school care your child can calmly eat his or her sandwich with us; after school a healthy snack and drink are waiting. We keep the daily rhythm simple and clear so that children know what to expect and can make their own choices. Our small team of permanent staff knows every child by name.
