Kinderopvang 't Zonnehoekje

We are BSO ’t Zonnehoekje, located at Rotiusstraat 1a in the centre of Hoorn. From this location we provide before-school, lunch-time and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO is housed in the same building as our day-care centre, so children who have been with us since toddler age can move seamlessly into out-of-school care. The group rooms are colourful and homely, with separate corners for quiet play, crafts, construction and reading. We start the day calmly with a shared breakfast; afterwards we take the children to school on time and safely. At lunchtime we pick the children up again and offer a hot meal or a healthy packed lunch, always freshly prepared and halal where possible. After school a varied activity programme is ready. Once a week we take a group swimming at De Waterhoorn pool and on another afternoon we head to Petres Gym for an hour of kick-boxing. These sports lessons are free when you book at least three days of care per week. During the school holidays we organise trips to the zoo, theme parks, museums and other fun destinations. Our pedagogical staff are on hand every day to give the children a safe, challenging and above all enjoyable time. Parents can use the service from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We work with fixed school routes and collect children from primary schools in the immediate Hoorn area. Our BSO has room for up to 31 children, so we remain small-scale and personal. We believe it is important that every child feels seen and heard; therefore children are given space to choose activities themselves and to help shape the programme. Together we create a place where children love to come and where parents can leave their child with peace of mind.
