VeenKids Kinderopvang De Vos

Welcome to VeenKids Kinderopvang De Vos, our welcoming after-school care centre in the west of Veenendaal. Managed by coordinators Rosemarie and Sonja, we offer a safe place for up to 43 primary-school children (ages 4–13) to play, explore and grow after the school day ends. Located at Oudeveen 230, our building is designed around a woodland theme: the attic has been transformed into an adventurous tree-house and the outdoor play structure echoes the same style. Together with our playful mascot Vygo Vos, the children set off on discovery trips in nature and enjoy our spacious green garden. We provide reliable pick-up and drop-off services. Children are transported in sustainable, safe ways such as the electric GoCab bike-taxi. We work with several primary schools in the area; the exact schools are agreed individually with parents. Our activity programme is wide-ranging and tailored to the world of school-aged children. We craft with natural materials, spend lots of time on outdoor sports and movement, and—since 1 May—we have our own vegetable garden where children learn to sow, tend and harvest. In partnership with Veenendaal Public Library, the Boekstart programme brings regular story-tellers to the centre and children can borrow books from our KidsBieb. Healthy food and exercise are central to our approach. We serve seasonal, nutritious snacks and encourage active participation in sports and games. Through child-friendly signing we support language development and foster a positive, inclusive group atmosphere. Our qualified pedagogical staff (MBO/HBO level) work in small, manageable groups so every child receives the personal attention they deserve.
