Welcome to BSO De Skelter, the after-school care branch of Kinderopvang Ot & Sien, located at Herenweg 61b in Vinkeveen. We provide a warm, home-like environment for up to 29 primary-school children aged 4 to 13 in one close-knit base group. Our qualified pedagogical staff pick the children up directly from school—transport is always included—and bring them to our cosy group space, which features a lounge corner, computer area, play house and a quiet homework zone. Play-based learning is at the heart of everything we do. After school, children decide for themselves: craft, build with Lego, romp outside on our rooftop terrace, or join themed cooking and baking sessions. During holidays it gets even more exciting: we take our Ot & Sien buses on outings to playgrounds, petting farms or the woods, organise water fun, gardening and creative workshops. All activities are planned together with our children’s committee so they truly match the children’s interests. We partner with OBS de Pijlstaart and safely use their playground as extra outdoor space. Healthy food is part of the deal: on Wednesday afternoons we share a bread meal together and drinks are always available. We keep in close contact with parents; through our Parent App you can easily book flexible hours or swap a day when needed. At BSO De Skelter every child feels at home and has room to be themselves.
