Kinderopvang Onder de Pannen B.V.

BSO De Salto is part of Kinderopvang Onder de Pannen B.V. and is located on the ground floor of primary school De Springplank at Sint-Elisabethstraat 19 in the centre of Vught. The location offers 28 after-school places for children aged 4 to 12 and works closely with the school so that the transition from school to care is smooth and familiar. Our pedagogical staff collect the children from their classroom after school and bring them to the spacious, homely BSO room. The layout allows children to choose where they want to play, relax or take part in activities. There are separate corners for crafts, construction, games and a chill-out area where children can relax with a book or music. The outside door is almost always open so that full use can be made of the safe, green playground that we share with the school. We believe it is important that children can organise their own time after a busy school day. Our role is mainly facilitative: we offer a wide range of materials and activities, but do not force anything. Every afternoon starts with a joint moment where children can indicate what they feel like doing. They are then free to choose whether to join a sports or play activity, create something in the craft corner, romp outside or simply do nothing for a while. Structure and trust are central. Each child is assigned a fixed mentor who is the point of contact for both child and parents. The mentor keeps track of how the afternoon is going in the parent app and discusses the child's development and well-being with parents three times a year. Parents can also easily request extra days or swap via the app when needed. BSO De Salto is open on school days from 14.00 to 18.30. During school holidays we have flexible opening hours from 7.30 to 18.00 so that working parents can also bring their children to us. We work exclusively with permanent pedagogical staff who know all the children and provide a warm and safe second home.
