Welcome to BSO Onder de Pannen at Van de Pollstraat 2 in Vught. Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon our team collects the children from Basisschool de Piramide. Pupils on the ground floor are picked up personally, while upper-grade students walk independently to our spacious auditorium that houses the after-school programme. As soon as lessons end, a wide range of activities awaits: creative corners, construction areas, board games and a reading table. We run regular workshops – think painting plaster figures or graffiti spraying – and during holidays we organise outings to playgrounds, forests and other fun spots in the region. Children decide for themselves what they feel like doing; with us anything is allowed, nothing is compulsory, because after-school time is free time. Around half past three we sit down together for a healthy snack: a slice of gingerbread, fresh fruit and vegetables and a jug of water. While we eat we share the day’s experiences and discuss the plans for the rest of the afternoon. Our qualified staff are certified in paediatric first aid and company emergency response and always offer personal attention. On Wednesdays and Fridays, when school ends earlier, all BSO groups gather at location De Boomhut on Brabantlaan. We collect the children by bus or car and serve an extensive bread meal with milk and water. During school holidays De Boomhut is open from 07:00 to 18:15 and offers extra workshops, treasure hunts and cooking activities. Children can then choose to come for a half or full day.
