Kinderopvang Loosterheem

Kinderopvang Loosterheem is a small-scale, flexible after-school care (BSO) located in a large farmhouse at Dorpsstraat 113 in Vriescheloo. We provide care for up to 2 primary-school children aged 4 to 12, welcoming children with and without special needs. The former stable has been converted into a bright, spacious playroom and a second activity room with a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and creative projects. Our large garden offers plenty of space for outdoor play and discovery. We work with a vertical group structure: all children play together, just like in a big family. Older children look out for the younger ones and vice versa, creating a natural learning environment. Safety, security and warmth are central to our pedagogical policy. Every child is accepted as they are and given room to develop at their own pace. A clear, predictable daily rhythm provides structure while still allowing individual choice. Kinderopvang Loosterheem is open 48 weeks a year from 07:30 to 18:00. We close for three weeks during the primary-school summer holiday. Flexible days and hours can be arranged, provided the minimum of 5 hours per week and a minimum period of three months are respected. Occasional extra hours are possible by arrangement, both after school and during holidays. Our care is led by Bertha Bosscher, assisted by a qualified pedagogical employee during busy periods and a reliable back-up for emergencies. Thanks to our small scale, we maintain close personal contact with every child. We also offer an additional support programme for children who need extra care: individual attention and parental support guided by the principle ‘ordinary when possible, special when necessary’.
