Kinderopvang Kloosterke

Welcome to Partou BSO Kloosterke Junior, located at Kloosterstraat 3 in Arnhem’s Geitenkamp district. Our after-school care is housed in a unique national monument: a historic monastery with stained-glass windows, high vaulted ceilings and a private cloister garden. The garden invites children to run, cycle and play hide-and-seek, while inside the long monastery corridor often transforms into an adventurous climbing course with gym cushions. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:30 to 18:30 and on Friday from 12:30 to 18:30. During school holidays and study days we extend our hours (07:30-18:30) so parents can always rely on childcare. We operate one base group called ‘Junior’ for up to 18 children aged 4 to 13. The group is led by permanent, qualified pedagogical staff who know every child personally and provide a familiar, trusted face each day. Structure and choice are central to our daily rhythm. When children arrive from school they can relax with a book or chat with friends. We then sit down together for a healthy snack and drink. Afterwards children decide for themselves: join an organised activity or enjoy free play with open doors to other rooms. We regularly collect new books from the local library to encourage reading aloud, and during holidays we team up with our sister location Kloosterke Actief for even more challenging activities and sporty outings. Safety and partnership with parents are key priorities. We collect children directly from school and use the Partou parent app for daily communication, extra care and swapping days. During a personal intake we get to know each other well and tailor our care and activities to whatever your child needs. Together we create a second home where children love to come.
