KindZijn BSO Sportlaan is a small-scale and welcoming after-school care facility located at Sportlaan 23 in Amstelveen. We are situated in a green environment, on the grounds of football club NFC, and provide care for up to 38 children per day. Our location is specifically designed for children aged 4 to 12 who attend primary school. At KindZijn, involvement is central. We understand what engages children and what they need, allowing them to relax and be completely themselves. Our pedagogical policy focuses on providing social-emotional safety. We create a secure foundation where children can explore and develop at their own pace. The location features two cozy and homely group spaces and a large outdoor area. Children can play endlessly outside, surrounded by sports fields and greenery. We offer either calm or inspiration, depending on what the child needs. Our activities are designed to stimulate the development of social skills, personal competencies, and values and norms. Play is our most important learning environment. We believe that play is fun, educational, and essential for children's development. We also regularly offer nature experiences, where children become more aware of their surroundings. Creative activities are also a key part of our program, where children learn from each other, discover themselves, and better understand the world around them. A unique aspect of our care is that children have the opportunity to interact with horses. With the horses, children can be themselves and build a special friendship. Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and Wednesday and Friday from 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are here for children who need a place where they feel at home and go to with pleasure every day.
