Het Mirakel

Welcome to BSO Het Mirakel, located at Warmoezenierpad 3 in the centre of Schiedam. We are part of KomKids, a trusted childcare organisation with more than 35 locations in Schiedam, Vlaardingen, Rotterdam and Maassluis. Our after-school group “Woudhoek” is open Monday to Friday for children aged 4 to 12. As soon as school ends we pick the children up and start with a healthy snack: fresh fruit and something to drink. Afterwards the children decide how they want to spend their afternoon. Our spacious BSO room offers many corners for quiet play or homework, as well as areas for active challenges. Throughout the year we work with changing themes such as nature, seasons, holidays or social skills. For every theme we create creative activities: cooking and baking, arts & crafts, sports and games, or discovering the outside world together. Our rooftop terrace is a real eye-catcher. In the middle stands a large wooden playhouse with different levels, a rope bridge, peepholes and a cosy table with chairs. The house sparks imagination: one moment it is a pirate ship, the next a secret fort or a friendly café. Children can play there for hours, alone or together with friends. Parents often laugh that they have trouble taking their children home, they enjoy the playhouse so much. At Het Mirakel, fun in play and development is key. We offer a safe, homely environment where every child can be themselves and discover step by step where their talents lie. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready with personal attention and guide the children whenever needed. Together we make every afternoon special.
