BSO de Vuurtoren is an after-school care location of Kidscasa Kinderopvang BV, located in the multifunctional center ‘de Samensprong’ in the heart of Haulerwijk. The center also houses primary school BS de Laweij, a library, playgroup, consultation office, toy library and youth center. The after-school care has two large rooms at its disposal, adjacent to the lower-grade classrooms of BS de Laweij. The rooms have a homely and fresh design, with one room more suitable for younger children and the other for older children. In bad weather, the large playroom of de Samensprong can be used. BSO de Vuurtoren provides care for children aged 4 to 12 years. The location is open five afternoons per week and also offers pre-school care from 07:00 to 08:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. During school holidays and study days, children can stay the whole day. Each month we work around a theme with child participation as the central focus. Our pedagogical staff create a loving, cozy and homely atmosphere. There is a varied program of activities including crafts, sports and music, where nothing is mandatory and everything is allowed.
