BSO De Theepot is a small-scale after-school care centre located at Prinses Irenelaan 32 in Hillegom, welcoming up to 33 children each day. Our mission is to help every child grow into a balanced individual who recognises and uses their own talents. We create a homely, safe atmosphere where children can explore at their own pace. We collect and return children to almost all primary schools in Hillegom with our own transport, giving parents peace of mind while they work. After school, children can enjoy free play or take part in active and creative workshops tailored to their age, interests and developmental level. Activities include sports and games, arts and crafts, and regular themed excursions. Children are placed in horizontal groups with peers of the same age. Our pedagogical approach draws inspiration from Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia, yet remains unique to De Theepot. Our qualified staff provide warm, personal guidance: children are encouraged to make choices, build self-confidence and learn respect for themselves and others. This helps them become social, independent and positive members of society. In short, BSO De Theepot offers children a familiar second home where they can relax, play and grow after school.
