BSO De Kleine Kornuiten

BSO De Kleine Kornuiten is located at a unique spot: right in the middle of an active dairy farm at Hofmanssteeg 7A in Dalfsen. We provide after-school care for 77 children aged 4 to 12. Our location makes us special: children here get to know the farming outdoor life daily, discover new things, overcome fears and grow through direct contact with animals and nature. We work from a green vision. This means we spend a lot of time outdoors, let children experience the farming life and organize activities where getting dirty hands is part of the fun. By experiencing things themselves, children learn in a natural way. Our pedagogical staff guide children in horizontal age groups: 4-6 years, 6-8 years, 8-10 years and 10-12 years. After school we pick up children from the primary schools in the area. We are open every working day from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. For parents who wish, we offer an extra service: a delicious warm meal that children can enjoy with us. We believe it's important that parents first come to visit with their child to experience the atmosphere and see our unique location. Our process is straightforward: after registration through the application form, we enroll the child and assess the possibilities. About 4 weeks before the placement date, we schedule an extensive intake interview and make settling-in arrangements before the care actually starts. We work with a fixed hourly rate of €8.09, where the final contribution depends on income.
