KC De Boomhut

BSO De Boomhut is the after-school care location of Kindcentrum De Boomhut at Burgemeester W. Martenslaan 29c in Amerongen. We provide out-of-school care for children from the age of 4 who attend any of the primary schools in Amerongen. Because our BSO is located in the same building as the day-care centre, the transition feels familiar and smooth for the children. Our afternoon starts with a quiet moment where the children enjoy a snack and a drink and share what is on their minds. Afterwards they decide for themselves which indoor or outdoor activities they want to join. We offer creative craft projects, sports and games, and nature experiences in our large garden. Free play is always an option; children can choose to participate in an activity or follow their own ideas. During every school holiday we organise a varied activity programme with themes such as play & sport, creativity, expression and nature. On arrival the children choose which activity they want to take part in, and there is still plenty of room for their own initiatives. We make sure that as many familiar pedagogical staff members as possible are present and that children meet peers of the same age. Our team follows the pedagogical work plan BSO De Boomhut, in which our vision and approach are described. We want every child to gain successful experiences and to develop at his or her own pace. Parents actively participate through our parent committee and we are recognised childcare with annual GGD inspections.
