Welcome to BSO De Boomgaard at Nieuwe Zeeweg in Noordwijk! Our location sits right in the dunes, next to the hockey fields of the Noordwijk Hockey Club. We are here for all primary-school children aged 4 to 12 who want to move, play and relax after a busy day at school. An afternoon with us starts with a welcome drink and a snack. Time to chat with teacher Emma or teacher Suzan, let off some steam and then the children choose what they feel like doing. Every day we set out two or three activities so there is always something that matches the child’s mood. Because we have the hockey pitches at our disposal all afternoon, sport and games are central. A qualified sports coach runs games such as football, hockey, dodgeball or running in the sand. Children can also cook or bake in our kitchen corner, dance and sing, make music on the guitar or keyboard, or simply enjoy crafts with paper, clay or natural materials. Rock, paper, scissors – plenty to choose from! During school holidays we are open all day from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. We work around a fun theme and organise matching workshops and excursions. Think of an afternoon climbing at a climbing centre, swimming at the water playground or a tennis clinic on the beach. Sporty movement remains key, yet there is always room for rest and creativity. Our pedagogical staff are proud of the safe, energetic atmosphere we create. We believe it is important that children feel seen and heard and that parents can leave their children with peace of mind.
