Kinderopvang De Blije Bij is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) located at Burgemeester Röellstraat 25 in the Nieuw-West district of Amsterdam. Our centre is set in a welcoming building with a secure private playground where children can unwind and play after school. We provide care for up to 13 primary-school children aged 4 to 12, ensuring personal attention and a homely atmosphere. At De Blije Bij, having fun in free time is key. Each afternoon begins with a shared moment: we sing, read aloud or introduce the weekly theme. Children can then choose from a variety of activities. Weekly music and dance lessons are offered free of charge. There is also plenty of room for arts and crafts, games and outdoor play in our garden. During school holidays we arrange exciting excursions almost every day—think playgrounds, petting farms or creative workshops around the city. We also take care of healthy appetites. An extensive lunch with fresh fruit and wholesome snacks is served daily, and warm meals are included on longer days. Our qualified, enthusiastic staff build close relationships with the children and guide them with dedication.
