Welcome to BSO Casa Capretti, located at Juan Grisstraat 138-140 in the Tussen de Vaarten district of Almere. We provide small-scale after-school care for up to 24 children aged 4 to 12. Our bright, cosy and homely space is arranged with various play corners and a game area with Wii. Our pedagogical approach is built on four core values: emotional safety and security, fostering personal competencies so children learn to function independently, developing social competencies to build and maintain relationships, and socialisation so children treat others with respect and can actively participate in society. Because we are small-scale, there is plenty of personal contact between parents and our pedagogical staff. There is always time for a chat at drop-off or pick-up. Twice a year, together with the parent committee, we organise enjoyable get-togethers: once informational and educational, once focused on interaction between parents and children. We keep parents actively informed about all matters concerning their child’s care through newsletters and personal handovers.
