Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kinderopvang Boefje Wormer B.V. at Koetserstraat 16 in the centre of Wormer. We provide out-of-school care for up to 63 children aged 4 to 13. Our team of enthusiastic, regular pedagogical staff is ready every weekday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to give children a safe, homely and sporty place after school. Everything we do is based on "learning through play together and raising together". We follow a continuous learning line that dovetails with various primary schools in the region, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. During holidays and study days we organise themed outings and workshops: think of a trip to the climbing dunes, Fairy-tale Wonderland, zoos and museums. In addition, we offer creative workshops in music, dance, yoga, cooking and crafts, always tailored to the holiday theme. A unique feature of our location is the opportunity to take weekly swimming lessons. From the age of 4.5, children can go to swimming pool de Crommenije in Krommenie under the guidance of our regular staff and qualified swimming instructors from Stichting Zwembaden Zaanstad (SZZ). We arrange transport and help with changing; parents only need to provide swimwear and a towel. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and is held twice a week (no swimming lessons during the summer holidays). In this playful way children can obtain their A-B-C swimming diplomas while in our care. Our location is small-scale and homely, with familiar faces in each group and a sporty character. We believe it is important that children develop at their own pace and that parents are actively involved in this process. That is why we work closely with parents and primary schools to create a familiar environment in which every child feels at home.
