BSO Bios is located in a unique spot in Almere: right in the shopping center of the Filmwijk district, on the ground floor of primary school De Filmwijk. From this central location, we pick up and drop off children from various schools in the area. We work together with primary schools De Filmwijk, OBS De Krans, OBS De Octopus, and OBS De Kolk, ensuring children can safely come to us after school. Our spacious, bright group room is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12. We have a large creative corner where children can craft, paint, and build. Our kitchen area is used for cooking and baking activities; together with the pedagogical staff, children regularly make healthy snacks or learn simple recipes. We have our own outdoor playground with climbing equipment, a sandbox, and plenty of space for sports and movement activities. Additionally, we make use of the immediate surroundings: we regularly go on outings to the nearby park, library, or organize scavenger hunts through the neighborhood. Our pedagogical policy is aimed at giving children space to develop at their own pace. We work with fixed daily routines where structure and freedom alternate. After school, there's first time for relaxation: playing outside, playing a game, or just doing nothing. Then children can choose from various activities themselves. We offer homework guidance, as well as sports and games activities, creative workshops, and nature education. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained to guide children in their development and are always ready to lend a listening ear. At BSO Bios, we believe healthy nutrition is important. We serve a healthy snack with fruit and drinks daily. For children with allergies or special dietary needs, we have suitable alternatives. Parents can see via our app what their child has eaten and drunk each day. We take into account the individual wishes and needs of each child, so everyone feels welcome with us.
