Club BijdeHandjes - Vathorst

Welcome to our Christian after-school care located at Natuurboerderij de Brinkhorst, Wageningseberg 43 in Amersfoort Vathorst. We provide care for 23 school-age children from 4 to 12 years in a unique natural setting where children arrive from school to the sounds of birds singing and can cuddle animals and help in the vegetable garden. Our BSO is situated on an actual nature farm. After school, children can choose how they want to spend their afternoon. We always start with a communal eating and drinking moment at the large table where children share about their school day. Afterwards, there's space for sports and games, indoors or outdoors on the rural grounds. Children can help care for the farm animals, make their own jam from fruit grown in the vegetable garden, or engage in active play. For children who need quiet time, there are also options to read a book or do homework in our peaceful corners. We operate from Christian values and norms, helping children discover and develop their talents. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with genuine attention and care, ensuring every child feels seen and loved. Children can come to the care facility by walking, cycling, or with our BSO bus/car. We work closely with parents and together form one big BijdeHandjes family. At the end of the afternoon, we extensively share about the day's experiences so parents know exactly how their child spent their afternoon at this special location.
