Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of BijdeHandjes located at Zwolscheweg 6 in Elburg. At this location we provide care for up to 28 children aged 4 to 13 years. Our BSO is housed in a spacious and bright building overlooking the sports fields, making it the perfect place for movement and play after school. At our BSO, children have the freedom to choose how they want to spend their afternoon. We always start with a shared eating and drinking moment. While the children enjoy a cookie and something to drink, they enthusiastically share stories about their school day. Afterwards, it's time for activities. We offer a varied program with sports and games, both indoors and outdoors. Think of playing football on the field, dodgeball, or getting creative in our arts and crafts corner. There's also space for quietly reading a book or doing homework. Our pedagogical staff pick up the children after school. This is done on foot, by bike, or with our BSO bus/car, depending on the distance to the school. We collaborate with various primary schools in Elburg and the surrounding area. Children are always picked up by our own familiar staff members. We believe it's important that children feel safe and at home with us. Our Christian identity is reflected in how we interact with each other: we teach children to be considerate of one another, to help each other, and to play together. We provide a warm and homely atmosphere where every child can develop at their own pace. The BSO is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. In the morning we offer before-school care from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM. In the afternoon we start picking up children from school at 2:00 PM. Around 4:30 PM we eat fresh fruit together and have something to drink. For children who stay longer, there's the option to join dinner at 5:30 PM. Parents can easily request care or communicate changes through the BijdeHandjes app or parent portal. We stand for open communication and believe it's important to work together with parents to determine what's best for their child.
