BSO It Sutelplak

Welcome to BSO It Sutelplak, our welcoming after-school care in the heart of Reduzum. Since January 2015 we have been housed in the characteristic former village shop at Haedstrjitte 29. Together with a maximum of twenty school-age children we create a homely place where every child feels safe, seen and challenged. Our approach is development-oriented and child-centred. We start from the child’s own world and offer calm, structure and room for personal initiative. The afternoon begins with a shared moment around the large kitchen table: chatting about school, a piece of fruit and a drink in hand. Afterwards the children choose for themselves: building in the construction corner, crafting in the studio, helping in the kitchen or romping in our secluded garden. Twice a week we prepare and share a warm meal, teaching the children about healthy food in a playful way. We work closely with Trije Doarpen Skoalle primary school, located less than four hundred metres away. Our pedagogical staff collect the children at the end of the school day and guide them along a safe route to It Sutelplak. Inside we use small, horizontal groups so that every child receives the attention they deserve. Our space is light, clear and furnished with natural materials that invite discovery and play. In short, at BSO It Sutelplak children find a second home where they can unwind after a busy school day and where fun, creativity and connection are central.
