BSO Baloe Wijdewormer

BSO Baloe Wijdewormer is located in a dedicated wing of the multifunctional building that houses primary school Wijdewormer, right in the green heart of Wijdewormer. We provide both before- and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Every morning we start the day calmly with a healthy breakfast so the children can begin their school day relaxed. After school we pick up the children from groups 1/2 directly from their classroom; from group 3 onwards the children walk to our BSO rooms themselves. The transition is therefore short, safe and familiar. Our location is only a five-minute drive from Purmerend Weidevenne and ten minutes from Purmerend city centre. The spacious, natural surroundings around the schoolyard invite outdoor play and discovery. We make daily use of the play and sports fields located right next to the building. In less favourable weather the children can retreat to our bright, homely indoor spaces, which are stocked with plenty of materials for crafts, building, games and quiet reading. Baloe has stood for healthy food, a natural environment and joyful play for more than thirty years. Our pedagogical staff are professional, involved and know every child. We work in small, horizontal groups, leaving ample room for individual attention. Together with the school we coordinate our activities and holiday programmes so that a familiar thread always remains. With us every child feels at home and is given the space to develop at their own pace.
