Kinderopvang Aurora (BSO)

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kinderopvang Aurora, located at Floris Versterstraat 2 in Leeuwarden. Our homely building borders the playground of primary school OBS Het Palet, allowing children to join us safely and quickly after school. We provide care for up to 20 primary-school children aged 4 to 13. Play and emotional safety are at the heart of everything we do. Guided by the principles of Calm, Cleanliness and Regularity, we create a secure environment in which every child feels free to explore. Through play we foster social and personal skills, and we believe that close cooperation with both child and parent is the key to a happy after-school experience. Seasonal theme outings—summer, autumn, winter and spring—keep our programme varied and inspiring. Daily movement and outdoor play are essential; an Aurora day is only complete when the children have been active outdoors. Our pedagogical staff receive ongoing training in interaction skills so they can support each child individually. We sing and make music every day, craft with a wide range of materials, and organise creative activities that connect with the children’s world. Every child is welcome at Kinderopvang Aurora!
