Kindergarden Zeist Hortensialaan

Welcome to Kindergarden Hortensialaan in Zeist! Our after-school care (BSO) is located on the bright top floor of a former convent, a listed municipal monument right in the centre of Zeist. The warm, relaxed atmosphere makes both children and parents feel at home from the very first moment. After school we collect the children from nearby schools by BSO bus, cargo bike or on foot and bring them safely to our location. There they have all the space they need to unwind, move and enjoy activities together with friends. We offer programmes under the themes Sports & Games, Creative & Technology and the ever-popular theme Cooking. In our Kids Kitchen, designed entirely at child height, children learn to cut, knead, bake and cooperate. They discover (healthy) ingredients, practise working independently and follow real recipes – skills they can use far into the future. In our Creative Studio children’s imagination and creativity are given free rein. They work with wood, stone, clay, paint and ecoline: not only crafting and drawing, but also designing, shaping, building and handwork. Outside we have a garden with a sandpit, climbing frame, large swing and football area; we go there every day. During school holidays the programme is even broader: we organise five activities a day, tailored to the holiday theme. Think silent disco, sports days or museum visits – we also head out on regular trips. In addition, we regularly hire an external gym to set up large sports and movement courses. Our pedagogical staff are always ready to give the children a relaxed afternoon. We provide healthy, varied food: a healthy buffet with raw vegetables, fruit, yoghurt and wholemeal bread, a warm lunch when school finishes early, and a snack at the end of the day. On study days and holidays children are welcome from 07:30 to 18:30. Everything is aimed at making every child feel safe and free to discover his or her talents.
