Welcome to Kindergarden After-School Care Utrecht Leidsche Rijn Madridstraat! Our BSO is located in a unique building, purpose-built for Kindergarden in 2020 in the family-friendly Leidsche Rijn district. We provide after-school care for 55 children aged 4 to 12. Together with the children we shape each day: we always organise two activities and we are genuinely interested in their ideas. Every day starts with a mentor quarter, where small groups talk about the day and share stories. Our spaces make the difference. In the creative studio children can unleash their imagination with wood, stone, clay, paint and ecoline. In the kids’ kitchen they learn to cut, knead and bake at child-friendly heights; we focus on healthy ingredients and working independently. The discovery lab invites experimentation: through playful experiments children learn about biology, physics, chemistry and technology. We love being outdoors. We play sports, enjoy outdoor games and search for special animals and plants. During holidays we combine on-site activities with outings to playgrounds, the strawberry farm or the ice-cream maker. Each holiday has its own themed activity schedule. We collect children from nearby schools – on foot, by BSO bus or cargo bike depending on distance. On Wednesdays, Fridays and during holiday days we serve a healthy lunch and a snack. Parents appreciate that our BSO feels different from school: a place where children can relax, discover and be themselves.
