Kindergarden Breda Zuid

Welcome to Kindergarden Breda Zuid, located in the characteristic former Maria convent at Overakkerstraat 188 in Breda. Our after-school care (BSO) is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12 and offers a warm, homely environment where children can unwind after a busy school day. Everything we do revolves around thoughtful childcare. Every aspect of our spaces is carefully designed to challenge and stimulate children. In our studio, the most creative crafts and drawings emerge. We adapt materials to the children's world, ensuring new things constantly arise and remain challenging. We work with a planning board displaying all play corners, from the construction corner with LEGO, Kapla and Playmobil to our home corner with a real wooden house standing in the middle of the BSO. For older children, we have a special lab where they can independently work on various experiments and games designed for the 7+ age group. Our park-like convent garden is an oasis of peace where children can picnic, play, build tents and climb trees. There's a sandbox with a water pump and a driveway perfect for football. During school weeks, we pick up children from school, depending on distance using our BSO bus, cargo bike or on foot. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons and during vacation days, we provide a healthy lunch consisting of whole grain bread with various healthy toppings and yogurt. At the end of the day, we always offer a healthy snack such as (dried) fruit or raw vegetables. During vacation periods, your child is welcome all day from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We organize themed weeks with unique activities. Think of trips to the forest, Wolfslaar petting zoo, on-site workshops, shopping and cooking or baking with the children. Each vacation has a unique vacation schedule with a nice mix of activities at the location and excursions. Our location has a warm and homely atmosphere. In the living room, children can relax after a busy school day, chilling on the couch or in bean bags with a good book. We have a quiet reading corner with an enormous selection of books and magazines, from picture books to reading books.
