De Watergeuzen

BSO De Watergeuzen is a warm and caring after-school care location of De Kinderhaven, situated in the De Waard neighborhood of Leiden. We provide care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12 years. From our location at Willem Barentszstraat 47, we work in partnership with Lucas van Leyden primary school in Leiden and Daltonschool De Leeuwerik in Leiderdorp. For safe school pickup, we use a GoCab bicycle taxi. Led by location manager Janneke de Roode, we create a familiar environment where every child feels welcome and seen. Janneke has been location manager since 2017 and has fulfilled various roles within De Kinderhaven, from pedagogical staff member to practical trainer for interns. Together with assistant manager Priscilla van Leest, who has been working with great pleasure for De Kinderhaven for 18 years, we ensure children have a challenging and enjoyable afternoon. We organize creative workshops and compile a fun holiday program together with the children. Throughout the day, we keep parents informed via our personal parent portal, where you receive photos and updates and can communicate directly with our pedagogical staff. At De Kinderhaven, you never pay extra for study days and strike days when you choose the 52-week care package.
