About this care

AI
BSO De Batavieren is a welcoming and stimulating after-school care centre located in a quiet residential area of Leiden. We provide care for 76 children aged 4 to 12. At the end of the school day we collect the children on foot or with our GoCab bike taxi from De Arcade, St. Joseph and Lorentz primary schools in Leiden. Together we walk or cycle to our building on IJsselkade 48, where a warm meal and a varied activity programme are waiting. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a safe and caring environment where children can unwind after a busy day at school. We offer a broad range of activities: arts and crafts in our creative corner, outdoor play in our beautiful natural garden, sports and games, or simply relaxing with friends. During school holidays we run a special holiday programme packed with exciting excursions and workshops. When children turn eight they may move on to BSO Matilo in Park Matilo. To make this transition smooth, staff from our 7+ group take the children along to activities at BSO Matilo beforehand. Parents stay informed about their child’s experiences through our personal parent portal, which includes photos and messages. We believe every child should feel seen and valued, so we tailor our programme to the interests and needs of the children. Feel free to drop by for a no-obligation tour and experience the atmosphere at BSO De Batavieren!
