Kindercentrum Kruimeltje

Welcome to BSO Kruimeltje, our after-school care located on the first and second floors of Kindercentrum Kruimeltje at Noordersingel 1 in Delfzijl. We provide 53 after-school places and work with three base groups we call the Kruimelaars. Each group has several rooms tailored to different challenging activities, so children can relax, play and discover new things after school. Our pedagogical staff pick the children up from primary schools in the neighbourhood and bring them safely to our location. On the way we already have a chat about the day and the children get space to unwind from school. Upon arrival, a healthy lunch is ready: fresh fruit, a whole-wheat sandwich and a cup of water or tea. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account. Activities vary per day and per week. One afternoon we craft with natural materials or make our own dragon from cardboard, the next afternoon we play outside in our large garden with climbing frames, a sandpit and a vegetable patch. We regularly organise sports and games such as football, dance or a scavenger hunt in the park. During holidays we go on excursions to places like the petting zoo, swimming pool or museum. Rest and space are important to us. Children who want to relax can read a book in our reading corner or simply lie down on a cushion. We work with fixed daily routines so children know what to expect. Our door is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., allowing parents to work and study flexibly.
