Welcome to Kindercentrum Huize Zeldenrust, located at Venrayseweg 19 in Horst. Since 2007, we have been offering out-of-school care (BSO) for school-aged children from 4 to 12 years at this location. Our BSO operates in two time blocks: before-school care from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM and after-school care from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. We work with horizontal groups, meaning children are placed in age-based groups. This creates a safe and familiar environment where our pedagogical staff can effectively respond to the developmental needs of the children. Our location features a large, green outdoor area with vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and an animal enclosure with chickens, goats, and rabbits. Nature plays a central role in our vision: children learn through play how to interact with animals and their environment. Additionally, there is a swimming pool on-site, which is used during warm weather to cool off together with the children – always with parental consent. At Huize Zeldenrust, personal contact and a homely atmosphere are key. We provide a healthy and stimulating environment where children can explore, move, and play. Our healthy childcare approach includes balanced meals, healthy snacks, and plenty of opportunities for physical activity. We encourage risky play, allowing children to safely explore their boundaries. Flexibility is an important aspect of our care.
