De Bieënkorf

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindercentrum de Bieënkorf, located at Lange Slagen 29a in the heart of Wijhe. We provide care for primary-school children from Wijhe and the surrounding area. Our BSO is open five days a week for children aged 4 to 12, offering before-school care from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and after-school care from 12:00 p.m. or 2:15/3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. During school holidays we welcome your child from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at our holiday care. We focus on helping children grow towards independence and self-reliance. Our pedagogical professionals guide them respectfully. Because after-school care takes place in the children’s free time, they are encouraged to decide for themselves what they want to do. Of course we provide clear boundaries and rules so that everyone feels safe and comfortable. The atmosphere is homely and familiar, with furnishings suited to the children’s ages. We offer a varied programme in which sports, creativity and excursions play an important role. We regularly organise fun outings and activities that match the children’s world of experience. For children who need something extra, we have set up a separate group, while participation in the regular group is encouraged whenever possible. Children can also enjoy a hot meal with us, ensuring they are well cared for after school. Kindercentrum de Bieënkorf works together with various partners such as Trias (youth care), Bibliotheek Salland, physiotherapy, speech therapy and the child health clinic. This collaboration takes place largely within our childcare centre, keeping knowledge and expertise close at hand. Personal contact and short lines of communication are our priorities, allowing us to provide tailor-made care for every child and every parent.
