Kindercentrum Bij Onzzz

Welcome to Kindercentrum Bij Onzzz, our warm and small-scale childcare centre located at Birdaarderstraatweg 68A in Dokkum. As a true family business – founded by mother Alie and daughter Franka, later joined by Rinze – we stand for personal attention, trust and flexibility. For our after-school care (BSO) we pick your child(ren) up from school in the afternoon and offer a safe, homely place where they can play, relax and develop until 18:30. Our pedagogical approach rests on four pillars: raising children together with parents, letting the child be themselves, creating a safe environment and offering space for development. We work according to Gordon’s philosophy and apply a bilingual policy (Dutch and Frisian) to give children two languages in a playful way. Every child has a fixed mentor, so there is always a familiar face and structure is guaranteed. Inside we have a cosy space with cars, Duplo, colouring corners and an online play corner. Outside, children can romp in our green garden with sandbox, water table and tricycles. We work thematically, so activities remain varied, playful and educational. Think of crafts, reading aloud, board games, homework help or educational maths games. Nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed – the most important thing is that your child feels welcome and at home. Healthy nutrition is important to us: upon arrival, a fresh snack is ready and, if desired, a nutritious meal. Everything is freshly prepared with attention to vitamins and growth. Feel free to come by for an introduction, so your child can already get used to our wonderful BSO world.
