Kindcentrum Zuiderster St. Jan

Kindcentrum Zuiderster St. Jan is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) located in the heart of ’s-Hertogenbosch-Zuid. We are part of Kindcentrum Zuiderster, an integral child centre where primary school, day-care and after-school care work together under one roof. Our BSO is situated at Platostraat 2 and offers places for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. Since 27 August 2015 we have been officially registered in the National Child-care Register under number 940725873 and are supervised by the GGD Hart voor Brabant. Our care is designed to give children rest, space and challenge after an intensive school day. We work closely with primary school Zuiderster, so the transition from school to after-school care is smooth and familiar. Children can come to us directly after school; we collect them in the same building or on the adjacent playground. The group is deliberately kept small so that every child receives the attention they deserve and experiences a safe second home. The rooms of Kindcentrum Zuiderster St. Jan are bright, warmly furnished and offer both quiet corners and areas for active play. We share the outdoor area with the school: a spacious, green playground with climbing equipment, a sandpit and plenty of room for sports and games. In fine weather we spend a lot of time outside; in bad weather our indoor areas offer plenty of opportunities for creative activities, board games or simply relaxing with a book. Parents register their child through Smallsteps B.V., our national organisation that owns this location. Small scale, familiarity and personal attention are central to us. We see parents as partners in parenting and keep communication short and clear: daily contact at pick-up and drop-off, and an extra conversation whenever necessary. Together we create a safe, stimulating environment in which every child can develop at their own pace.
