Kindcentrum Wijs B.V.

Kindcentrum Wijs B.V. is an after-school care facility located at Avegaar 86 in Monnickendam. We provide care for up to 24 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our childcare center is entirely focused on nature experiences and outdoor activities. We believe that children learn best by exploring and experiencing nature. Together with the children, we go outside to play, get dirty, and discover nature in and around Monnickendam. We gather at the Resurrection Church, where we eat together and play indoors, but we are mainly active in nature! Children learn what edible plants are, which creatures live in nature, and how to survive in the wilderness. For older children aged 8 to 13, we seek even more adventure. We learn how to build a good treehouse and discover everything related to survival skills. Our pedagogical staff guide children in an exploratory and challenging way, where children are encouraged to think along about activities. We are open Monday through Friday on school days, both before and after school. We also provide care during vacations. When children come from school, we eat a healthy snack together and have time to discuss the day and decide which activity we will do that day.
