Kindcentrum Wieken

Kindcentrum De Wieken is a warm and welcoming after-school care location operated by KomKids, located within De Wieken primary school in the Schiedam-West district. Our facility provides care for children aged 4 to 12 years. The great advantage of our location is that children are immediately at their after-school care after school and truly feel at home here. We have a spacious playroom where we offer fun, educational and age-appropriate activities several times a week. These activities are designed in consultation with the children, allowing us to challenge them and create a varied program. In our dining room, we take a quiet moment every day with a sandwich to unwind. We always ensure children have something to eat and drink, with a fruit moment at the end of the afternoon. Our children can use the enclosed schoolyard to play outside and let off steam. Additionally, we use the school's gymnasium, so we can offer fun and sporty games even when the weather isn't great. We have various spaces with corners where children can build, play, read and do crafts. During school holidays and study days, we are open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We then offer a special activity program with many outings and workshops. In the summer holidays, we participate in the central holiday program SummerKids with super fun activities. We collaborate with other KomKids locations in Schiedam to provide optimal care.
