Roald Dahl

BSO Roald Dahl is part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Roald Dahl, located at Meetketting 1 in Zwaag. We provide after-school care for up to 95 children aged 4 to 13. Because we share the same building as Roald Dahl primary school, children are already familiar with the spaces and the pedagogical staff from an early age, making the transition from school to after-school care smooth and reassuring. Our after-school groups are organised by age: one group for children aged 4 to 6 and another for children aged 6 to 13. Thanks to our open-door policy, children are not confined to a fixed group; they can move freely through the spaces. During fixed moments, such as shared meals and drinks, we return to the base group. This approach combines structure with freedom of choice. We work closely with the school’s teachers. Pupils regularly come to read aloud or join in activities with the after-school children. This connection creates a familiar environment and reinforces the feeling of one large school and care community. Parents drop off and pick up their children in one place: safe, clear and time-saving. In short, BSO Roald Dahl offers a homely, familiar place where children can play, relax and discover new things after school, always close to their own school.
