Kindcentrum Prinses Margriet

Welcome to Kindcentrum Prinses Margriet, a public integrated child centre in the heart of Smilde where education and after-school care seamlessly come together. Our BSO department provides care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 13 years and is part of Stichting Kindcentra Kits Primair. We believe that peace, clarity and structure are the most important pillars for development and school success. That is why we work from the principles of freedom, independence and cooperation. Our enthusiastic and committed team creates a safe pedagogical climate in which children feel at home and can relax after a busy school day. With us, talent development is central. After school, children can participate in various activities within our lifestyle subjects: art, culture and heritage; sports, education and well-being; music and visual arts; nature, science and technology; and multimedia education. We offer sports activities and encourage music practice and creative expression. Our nature and technology activities let children become acquainted with science and discovery in a playful way. We work with modern communication tools. Parents stay informed via the Parro app, with which we safely and easily share photos and messages. A digital newsletter appears monthly with all activities and developments within our child centre. Our location on Prinses Margrietstraat has a spacious garden where children can play and discover to their heart's content. We find it important that children are outside and learn to appreciate nature. Parents are actively involved in our child centre through the parent council and participation council, so that we work together on the best development of each child.
