Kindcentrum Johan Friso

Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindcentrum Johan Friso, located in the heart of Steenwijk at Schaepmanstraat 5. As part of PCO Accrete foundation, we have been providing professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 for over 25 years. Our BSO is fully integrated within the school building, allowing children to transition directly from their school day to our care in a familiar environment. We believe that after-school care time should be real free time for children. After an intensive school day, children at our BSO get the space to relax, play and discover. Our pedagogical staff pick up children from school or receive them in our cozy BSO space. Here, a fresh fruit basket awaits and children can share their stories of the day while enjoying a drink and tasty snack. Our activity program is broad and varied. We organize sports and games, music, cooking, reading, technology and creative activities. Making music and movement are central to our approach, as these contribute to the development of executive functions such as concentration and creativity. Additionally, we provide nature education and regularly go into the garden for discovery tours. Cooking and baking are also favorite activities, where children learn to collaborate and discover new tastes. For parents, we offer flexible care hours from 7:00 to 18:30, including school holidays and study days. We work with a warm and involved approach, where each child is seen as a unique person. Our mission 'Together Unique' translates into an atmosphere of small-scale care and personal attention, where parents are actively involved in the upbringing and development of their child.
