Kindcentrum Immanuel

Kindcentrum Immanuel is located in the green surroundings of Steenwijkerwold and offers Christian after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 13. We are open every weekday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Our pedagogical staff work across age groups and provide personalized guidance, allowing each child to develop at their own pace and level. We focus on ‘growing in nature’. Children explore our own ‘Bellebos’ with a nature and discovery trail, a flower, butterfly and vegetable garden, a greenhouse and animals to care for. This teaches them to interact respectfully with the natural world. As a Kanjer child centre, we foster values such as trust, mutual support and respect. These principles help build self-confidence and social skills. Our activities are varied and stimulating. We sing, make music, do arts and crafts and engage in sports. We also organise regular excursions and work thematically in collaboration with the school. This ensures a smooth transition from after-school care to the classroom, as children are already familiar with the teachers and the environment. English lessons are also offered, giving children an early introduction to a second language. During BSO hours, children are offered fresh fruit daily. We believe healthy eating is important and introduce children to different tastes in a playful way. Our location is safe and homely, with ample opportunities for both rest and challenge. We work with a consistent team, so children see familiar faces every day and feel truly at home. Parents appreciate our commitment and the personal attention given to their child.
