Kindcentrum het Stroomdal

Welcome to CKC Het Stroomdal, the child centre in the heart of Westlaren, Zuidlaren. Our building is located at Esdoornlaan 1, surrounded by the green Stroomdal landscape that inspired both our name and our design. Here, primary education and out-of-school care (BSO) literally take place under one roof. Around 100 children use our care facilities every day; everyone knows each other and the atmosphere is warm and safe. Our BSO is run by Prokino and is housed in a dedicated room inside the child centre. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:30 to 18:30 and Wednesday from 12:30 to 18:30. During school holidays we operate adjusted hours. For before-school care (VSO) we welcome children from 07:00 onwards. Our team of pedagogical staff guide the children in small, same-age groups. We provide calm, structure and challenge: from playing together to homework support and creative or sports activities. We work closely with the primary-school teachers so that the transition between school and care is seamless. Parents use the Social Schools Parent Portal for easy communication, reporting absence or requesting leave.
