Kindcentrum De Ontdekkers

Located at De Hucht 6 in Heiloo, Kindcentrum De Ontdekkers is part of Stichting Blosse, a foundation that integrates childcare and primary education across 27 centres in the region. Our out-of-school care (BSO) welcomes children aged 4–12 on weekdays from 7:30–8:30 a.m. and 2:30–6:30 p.m. Because the BSO is housed in the same building as the primary school, children remain in a familiar environment and parents have a single, convenient location for both education and after-school care. Our educational philosophy centres on the belief that every child should feel seen, heard and valued. We provide a safe yet challenging space where children learn actively and inquisitively through play. Enjoyment is the key driver for broad development: themes are chosen to connect with children’s everyday experiences and the world around them. Our pedagogical staff work closely with the school’s teaching team, ensuring a seamless transition between classroom time and after-school activities. Communication with parents is open and transparent. You are welcome to drop into the group after school each day for an informal chat or to view your child’s work. For day-to-day logistics we use the Kwieb app, which keeps parents informed of news, activities and schedule changes; it also allows parents to book parent–teacher meetings or sign up for excursions and events. Together we form a close-knit community in which every child, parent and professional takes ownership of learning and behaviour. In short, Kindcentrum De Ontdekkers offers a trusted place where children aged 4–12 can play, discover and grow in a development-oriented setting after school.
