Kindcentrum De Binck

Kindcentrum De Binck is located at St. Barbaraweg 4 in the Binckhorst district of The Hague. We are an integral child centre where primary education and childcare seamlessly come together. Since our opening in August 2022, we have been offering both daycare and after-school care under one roof for children aged 0 to 13. For our after-school care (BSO), we welcome children from 4 to 13 years old. We work with five distinct domains that represent both physical spaces and pedagogical concepts. For BSO, this means that children come to an environment after school that exactly matches their age and developmental stage. Domain 2 is specifically designed for children aged 4-6 (groups 1/2), ensuring a smooth transition from daycare to after-school care. Older children find their place in domain 3 (7-8 years, groups 3/4), domain 4 (9-10 years, groups 5/6) and domain 5 (11-13 years, groups 7/8). Our pedagogical staff and the education team work intensively together, creating a continuous line between school and after-school care. We believe that children develop throughout the day through play and discovery. That is why we offer activities and spaces that connect with what occupies children at that moment. The changing composition of children and staff ensures maximum individual attention and meaningful learning moments. In our child centre, children not only learn from our pedagogical staff, but also from the outside world in De Binckhorst and from each other. We encourage discovery trips in the immediate environment, where other cultures, nature and different people are central. This is how children grow up with us to become self-aware and self-confident world citizens, ready for their future.
