Kindcentrum Blink

Kindcentrum Blink is an integrated children’s centre located in the Schiedam Nieuwland district. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 who attend IKC Blink. Because the after-school care is located in the same school building, children do not have to walk far after school. Our pedagogical professionals are ready with a varied activity programme. Together with the children, we explore what is possible. We use the football field for sports and games and a stage where children can perform their own theatre shows. During special theme weeks, we discover what children enjoy and where their talents lie. Children are also welcome during school holidays, when we work with other KomKids locations on adventurous holiday programmes. The collaboration between our after-school care and the primary school ensures continuity throughout the day. The same staff guide the children both during school hours and afterwards, providing consistency and familiarity. The themes covered at school are also reflected in our activity programme. We use each other’s expertise to support children in the best possible way. Parents choose Kindcentrum Blink because care and education come together in one place. Dropping off and picking up children is simple. We offer a safe environment where children feel welcome and where they can joyfully discover who they are and what they can do.
