BSO Geusevesperstraat

BSO Geusevesperstraat is a warm, homely after-school care centre in the heart of Haarlem. We provide care for up to 39 children aged 4 to 12. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff work from the core values of Adventure, Fun, Learning and Attention. Each day starts with a shared moment: a drink and a snack, after which children choose what they want to do. Our activity programme is broad and varied: sports and games, arts and crafts, reading aloud, outdoor play and creative projects. When the weather is nice, we take the children out – to the park, the petting zoo or the playground. During study days and holidays we organise fun outings and work with themes that connect to the children’s world of experience. We work in fixed base groups, taking age and development into account. The infants (groups 1-2) are picked up after school in the playground of Sint Bavoschool Reviusstraat and walk to our location under supervision. Older children come independently. We value good cooperation with parents. There is room for a chat every day at pick-up and drop-off, and we inform parents via our website and verbally about their child’s experiences. Our location is open on school days from 15:00 to 18:30. During holidays and study days we are open from 08:30 to 17:30. We offer a safe, familiar place where children can relax after school and develop further through play.
