BSO Groningen De Gravenburger

BSO de Gravenburger is located in the Vensterschool Gravenburg building at Maresiusstraat 22 in Groningen. The same building houses public primary school De Feniks and Christian primary school De Aquamarijn, making it a true children's center in this neighborhood. Our after-school care spaces are situated on the ground floor and accommodate up to 110 children across different age groups. We believe every child deserves a place where they are cared for with attention, where they can play safely, and where they can develop at their own pace. We are more than just a childcare facility; we give your child something they can build upon in life. Together with the children, we create a homely and safe atmosphere by eating together at the table and treating each other with respect. Our outdoor play area is enriched by a Tiny Forest planted in 2018 by 700 students from the connected primary schools together with IVN Nature Education. The children of Kids First can enjoy this daily while playfully learning about nature and sustainability. We also regularly organize various workshops and clinics, including weekly cooking workshops where children learn about healthy food and cooperation in a playful way. BSO de Gravenburger works closely with the schools in the building, ensuring a seamless transition from school to after-school care. We use horizontal group structure, bringing children together in age groups. This provides familiar peers and activities that perfectly match their developmental stage.
