BSO Bovensmilde De Kiem

BSO Bovensmilde De Kiem is located in Brede School De Kiem at Floralaan 1A, right in the centre of Bovensmilde. We provide after-school care for up to 15 children aged 4 to 12. Our setting uses a single vertical group in which children of all ages play together, meet and build friendships. Situated in the heart of the village, we make intensive use of the immediate surroundings. Our outdoor area offers plenty of space to run, climb and romp. We also work closely with the local library, allowing children to borrow books, read aloud and discover which stories appeal to them. This cooperation encourages reading pleasure and language development in a playful way. Our pedagogical staff create a homely, friendly atmosphere. We offer calm and structure after a busy school day while still leaving room for children’s own initiative. Children decide for themselves whether to join an activity or play freely. We keep them active: outdoor sports and games, crafts, building, drama or simply having fun in the garden. Parents describe us as involved, flexible and clear: “Small and cosy. My children are always cheerful and enthusiastic when I pick them up.” BSO Bovensmilde De Kiem is part of Kids First and therefore cooperates with the schools within Integral Child Centre De Kiem.
