Kids & Joy

Welcome to Kids & Joy after-school care at Vergouwlaan 5 in Slagharen. Since 2008 we have been proud to provide out-of-school care in a warm, homely setting. Our location is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12 who need a safe and familiar place after school hours. We keep our groups intentionally small—never more than 11 children—so every child receives personal attention. The same pedagogical staff members are present at least three days a week, allowing children and caregivers to build genuine, lasting relationships. We call this our ‘big-family feeling’. After school we offer a meaningful leisure programme. Children can choose to relax indoors with crafts or quiet play, or join us outside for walks, bike rides, shopping errands, or visits to the local library, playground or petting zoo. Whenever needed, we also provide a calm space and guidance for homework. Our vision is simple: children come first. We strive to be a second home where every child feels safe, valued and eager to return each day. Together we create moments of laughter, discovery and comfort—every single afternoon.
