Kids & Joy Kinderopvang (BSO)

Welcome to Kids & Joy after-school care on Vergouwlaan in Slagharen. Since 2010 we have provided out-of-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. Our homely building at Vergouwlaan 3 is the place where children can simply be themselves after a long school day. Our motto is: nothing is compulsory, everything is allowed. The afternoon starts with a hug and a smile, after which the children decide what they want to do. Our regular pedagogical staff are ready to listen, join in and offer activities that match the children’s world of experience. Each week we work around a theme. Think of a music week where we explore different instruments, a cooking or baking workshop in our own kitchen, a knitting and crochet club or even a graffiti spraying lesson. We regularly invite guest teachers or go on outings to really bring the theme to life. Our spacious garden invites outdoor play and discovery. Indoors we have various play corners where children can chill, play games, do crafts or read. We believe it is important that children feel seen and heard after school and that they experience a real day off during holidays. Playing together with friends, having fun and discovering new talents – that is what our varied programme is all about.
